Surprised myself

So this mornings run. I set off about 6.40am was not feeling too great having come down with laryngitis yesterday but did force myself to go. The first 90 second run I found tough then the first 3 minute run nearly finished me off. The new shoes! I think I just needed to find my mojo and adapt my running to the new shoes which were different to what I had been used too with my first pair which were not really running shoe's but walking trainers! However the last 3 minute run was so good and so comfortable I was breathing well I could have run for longer. So W3R3 DONE bring on week 4 I'm flying people. ☺

Woohoo! Well done! Sounds like you just needed your body to get going post lurgy. Shortly about to start the week with a wk3 run. Bit nervous but if I do as instructed, I should be able to do it, right?

Definitely! I've just finished the second run if week 4 with a chest infection. I have to be honest, it's all about your mental strength with this, your body tells you to stop but you have to push through it! You 100% can do it! You just gotta listen to the instructor and take it easy!

It’s so easy to stop when you have a set back!

Thanks BB! I think having an extra rest day opened a space for the gremlins but in a way, it’s good to have this battle now because I was bound ti have it at some point and the sooner I shut them up the better! In 10’ I’ll be off my sofa and into my running gear. X
