I've actually completed W1 and am feeling proud of myself. Getting into the routine of this now, albeit early days, was looking forward to running today (which is a major mind milestone for me) 😀
However, can't help feeling nervous that I won't be able to complete 2 mins of running next week - any tips for getting me through W2 R1.
Thanks for all the support so far, you have been fab 👍👍👍👍

Just take your time. Don't try to go too fast. Don't pressure yourself. Listen to the 'voice' telling you when to stop and start and encouraging you and I am sure you will surprise yourself. Look forward to seeing your post!
Some weeks are harder than others, and we all end up with a week we hate. (For me it was 3...) but you've got this. Stick to the programme, take it slow and enjoy it.
As everyone else has said you can do this. If you feel like you can't continue why not 'walk' one of the runs in the middle to really get your breath back. Rember the rests are longer in week 2. I found more manageable than week 1. Good luck and please let us know how you get on!
Well done for completing week 1! I start week 2 tomorrow or Tuesday (depends on how my days pan out but can't be later on Tuesday). My view - trust the programme. I see so many people starting from where we are now and going on to graduate and run 10k and half-marathons and more. We just need to put one foot in front of the other and repeat until it gets easier!
Thank ouneveryone, your words of encouragement are greatly appreciated. W2 R1 is planned for Tuesday evening, so will read your tips again tomorrow and the extra info link provided by Iannoda Truffe (mentor). 🏃♀️❤️🏃♀️❤️🏃♀️❤️
Brisk walking and conversational pace running aren’t very different effort wise... yes the runs are a little longer, but the walks aren’t... and the total workout length is very close to the same... you can do it!
I’m about to do W2 R1 tomorrow and I was feeling a bit apprehensive too until I read all the positive replies! Actually looking forward to the challenge! Good luck with it!
I feel exactly the same but no one is judging us !! We are doing this for ourselves and that’s great.. we’ve got this and if we slow it down or walk or repeat week one then it’s better than sitting on the couch! Well done for keeping going I’m starting week 2 Sunday and taking all pressure off myself and just enjoying the start of a new change!! Well done you
