Well the day is nearly here, I can cope with tomorrow but not looking forward to W3 R1. I know 3 minutes running is not that much but I have a feeling I will struggle as I'm still smoking which does not help my breathing arrrghhh
w2 R3 tomorrow : Well the day is nearly here, I... - Couch to 5K
w2 R3 tomorrow
You can do it! Every step in the programme it feels like you won't be able to manage the next step, but if you go slowly slowly you will do. If you are anything like me, the first run I thought I was going to die after jogging 60 secs but already felt stronger by week 2. Once you start seeing how much progress you are making you might even feel so much better in yourself you won't need the smoking so much. My only excuse for struggling was being overweight and totally unfit: Now on Wk 6, still enjoying it ( mostly!!!), less fat ( still 1.5 st to go) feeling slightly less like I couldn't possibly run in public ( I still head out at 0515 hrs) and a bit of an evangelist for Laura! Good luck
Well done Clara, this excersise lark is not easy whether it be weight you want to lose or just build your fitness level up. I believe in the go slow and finish theory it's worked so far. Once through the program I will then start to improve time and distance at the moment my head and body tells me just do the program. It's fabulous this C25k site it just keeps you going when your head tells you NO NO not today. He he
Have a virtual hand hold - I will be doing W2 R3 on Saturday and also slightly dreading WK 3. That is as far as I got last time I tried this.....but we can do it! I will check in tomorrow to see how you did. I ran R2 today, and struggled a little on the fifth run but pulled it back together on the final run.
Awww thanks runnerknitter. Love your screen name, I can't even knitt pffft. Good luck on your run 3 I am now heading out to do mine. I have told myself I can do it? I've done R1and R2 so R3 will be ok. I think the final runs are the most hardest as your body starts to feel tired. We can do this. Good luck on your R3 too. Let me know how you get on. I'm off tomorrow to have my gait analysed as I keep getting a bit of a sore knee after a run due to my cheap running trainers. I'm not a Pretty runner that's for sure my feet, legs and hands are all over the place just to get me through it
I see you have run successfully today - well done! I have to confess I don't run and knit at the same time - sounds a bit dangerous LOL! Good luck with your gait analysis. I have just bought a pair of New Balance 890 v3 - the reviews sound really good so I am hoping they will be OK for me. (have just discovered that there is a Nike Sweat Shop not too far from me, so maybe one day I will pluck up the courage to go and run in front of other people!) R3 tomorrow morning :0)
Thank you runningknitter. I ran quite well considered I am suffering with vertigo for the last day or so.
I can not wait for my gate analyse tomorrow just to see myself how I'm running. Although I know it's not a pretty site ha ha. To be fair I not bothered what I look like as long as I am pain free and manage the run. Plenty of good reviews on the sweatshop your talking about on here. I sure you will be fine. If I can do it anyone can. you will smash it. Then you can see how I do with W3 R1 on Monday ha ha
