Stay on Wk1 or Move to Wk2

Need some advice, my partner and I have completed the first 3 runs together. However due to other commitments we were unable to do all three runs within the week. We ran Thurs, Sun, Thurs. we are having a bit of a discussion about whether we should move to wk2 or repeat the last run of wk1? Has anyone had experience of this?

If you completed w1r3, I suggest you move on to week 2. The “week” of the program doesn’t necessarily align to real life. It’s not unusual to have more than one day between runs - sometimes that extra time can help your body rest, heal up, and get stronger. Happy running!

Hi Jack, congratulations on your first week!! Well done, that is the toughest one for most runners! If you have completed all 3 runs I would say go on with W2. The biggest gap was between R2 and R3, so if it went well it means you are good to keep going! Take it slow 🐌 and steady and you should be fine. Happy running!! 😃

Welcome to the forum and well done, both, on getting started.

This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5... and will answer most of your questions.

C25K weeks don't have to coincide with calendar weeks.

If you fully complete a workout, move on.........if not, have a rest day and repeat, just a bitslower.

Enjoy your journey.

A wee update, we went out and did W2R1, and we managed ok apart from the fact that we were running into a very strong head wind. I didn’t realise how bad it was until we turned round to come back and I could breath again and my legs were not like treacle. I had to stop a couple of times because I could not breath. Onwards and upwards. Thanks for your advise guys it was really helpful.
