Hi, I’m a 48 year old man, overweight and trying to get fitter and healthier. I have not run since school and not done any real exercise (apart from walking dog πŸ•) for years. Today was my first run on Couch to 5K, was tough but made it! Next one on Sunday, wish me luck!

Good luck. We start at the beginning and slowly work our way through the programme. No hurry πŸ‘πŸ˜ƒ

I borrowed a dog to help me get fit I can now run with him thanks to this fab programme I’ve lost loads! You can too but not just by doing this programme. You’ll need to switch to a healthy diet πŸ‘πŸ˜‹πŸ•πŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ

Congratulations on starting C25K, yes I do wish you luck, I hope you enjoy your running journey and in 9 weeks time when you have graduated you will feel about 10 years younger, healthier and fitter.

Congratulations on starting the new year with a positive goal - and one that is genuinely achievable by following the programme! I've only just graduated and it hasn't turned me into Paula Radcliffe, but the improvement in my overall health and fitness has been very noticeable. AlMorr in an earlier comment said that by the time you graduate you will feel 10 years younger - absolutely right! Someone saw a photo a colleague took of me as I completed my first Park Run (well, Park Shuffle, some would say!) and she put my age at 10 years younger than I really am - and that was red-faced and generally 'orrible and sweaty - so you see, you can turn the clock back!

Good luck with your running and keep us posted with your progress!

Congratulations! I'm 57 soon to be 58. I've always wanted to try C25k and finally did it a few months ago. I'll be on week 8 on Monday.

The support on here is fantastic. Congratulations to all who have decided.
