First Couch to 5K

Hiya, I’ve just completed my first Couch to 5k run and it’s amazing how different I feel. I used to run for 4 and then feel like death and stop but now I went out for 22 minutes, even beating a 2 mile personal best!

I’m hoping it’s the start of something new as I’d love to be able to run 5-10K soon! Do you guys have any advice for running those distances?

Well follow the programme.. keep it slow and steady... take the rest days and make sure you put in non impact exercise on rest days too.. are you doing this plan?

The forum follows this and we will give you great support and encouragement to keep you on track, up to the 30 minute runs in Week 9 :)

Follow the programme is the best advice any of is can give; quite simply, it works!! Looking forward to helping you along on your journey, running has so much to give!!

Follow the plan as said above. In 10 weeks time you’ll be running 5K Parkruns if you’d like. Once you get comfortable at 5K you run that distance 3 times a week for a few months before you try to increase the distance. But you’ll find your own way after graduation of C25K.
