Just completed first run of week 2 and it wasn’t easy but it is complete yayyyy. Completed the programme about 6 years ago and carried on running for a while but the onset of awful hay fever, which really impacted on my breathing, and a hectic lifestyle and a general lack of motivation stopped me.

I’m older, heavier and have less faith in myself but I’m back and hoping to maintain the motivation needed to do it again.

Seen lots of posts here and whilst you haven’t directly supported me you are all already helping me along.

Well done for starting again! I started back in November - and could barely cope with the 60 second run, but I'm glad I started in the winter when it's not too hot. I'm about to be 53, and a few stone overweight, but I'll graduate tomorrow! I think starting is a really good idea, and good motivation to get as far through the program as you can before the pollen season kicks in. Then you should be in the habit of running, and even graduate before the hay fever season kicks off. Can you find a local gym where you can swap to a treadmill when you can't run outside, perhaps check which ones filter their air?

Good luck & KBO!

I have actually bought a treadmill, two reasons really. 1 hay fever but also I never road ran I trail ran and working full time the trails are currently to dark for me except weekends. So treadmill has removed two excuses/reasons! I really do want to achieve this.

Well done you you have done amazingly well. Good luck for tomorrow, we will be cheering you on.
