Take a rest day and try again. I had to repeat the first one as I was really bad at it! I am now in week 5 and loving it. Not had to repeat a run since. Just because this one didn’t go well for you doesn’t mean you can’t do it. Learn from your mistakes and try again. Good luck.

Don't worry just see it as a little trial run.

Welcome to the forum and well done on getting started.

This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

You can only fail this programme by heading permanently back to the couch.

Have a rest day, read the guide and have another go, perhaps a bit slower.

You can do this!

Enjoy your journey.

At least you know where you went wrong, try again...if I can crack it, I'd like to think anything is possible 😊 Good luck and take care.

It’s hard, that first run. We think running is something we should just be able to do and it’s a bit of a shocker when the oxygen runs out after 30 seconds! But loads of lessons learned on your very first run!

1. Wear gloves 2. Eat and drink a bit more 3. Find a flatter route 4. (I’m guessing this one) Go slower!

Good luck 🙂

Agree with all this! I would add that layers will help you.

I start off all bundled up and take off my scarf, gloves and hat as the run progresses. They are thin thermal ones so all fit easily in my jacket pockets. I now have those ear muff headbands (so I don’t get too overheated) and running gloves with the touch screen fingers to work my music/app.

Tiny slopes (when walking) do feel like bloody mountains. Try again - it will get better. xx
