This post should start something like this....forgive me Laura for I have sinned...yesterday I should have been doing the last run of Week 8 - ie 28 minutes - but...well...ummm..the sun was shining...and the birds were singing...and there was great music playing in my ears...and as Nina Simone said...I was 'feeling good'....and well...I jjust ran... for 37 minutes and because I was soooo close to that magical 5K I just had to reach it!!! So bad girl, naughty me I know and I've sent myself to the naughty step to think about what I did and do you know JUST THIS ONCE I DON'T CARE - I RAN FIVE WHOLE FLIPPING KILOMETERS!!!! OMG - who'd have thought it possible - not me I can tell you!!! And that 8Ks in the real Central Park seems just that bit more dooable now. Luckily for me I've no side effects today..but I will give myself two days of recovery before I FOLLOW THE PLAN and finish Week 9!!! Hope you've all had a great sunshiney running weekend? xx
Oh dear I have a confession....: This post... - Couch to 5K
Oh dear I have a confession....
I did my first 5k on W9 run 1. If you're ready for it, go for it! You've nearly graduated anyway. Just make sure you don't overdo it and get injured.
Haha nice post. Have to say I'm no
Oops don't know what happened there. Have to say I'm not sure th naughty step worked for my kids and I'm not so sure it's going to work for you.
Sounds like a brilliant run and it's been such a nice day, well, why not.
Roll on Central Park.
well done! You are nearly graduated and I think a few extra minutes is ok!, if you weren't ready you would have had to stop! I did similar and survived! *insert disclaimer here*
OOOh heavyhorse you're very naughty too
Well done and I am sure that little bit of extra distance will do you no harm at all.
brilliant
I found by week 7/8 my fitness had improved that I could push on that bit more and did so when my body was giving me good feedback
Well done - you're obviously ready to graduate, but a bit of consolidation is sensible now. Most of our injuries are caused by over doing things!
