My highlight was w5r3! I know it’s not graduation but it was my high 😊🏃‍♀️😊

That run is a milestone run with C25K, I suppose it came second for me, Happy New Year Shelley. 😊 🏃

Mine was early September. I'd booked the weekend away to Great Yarmouth. Ran the graduation run upon arrival along the seafront. That was the Friday. Having graduated, I then enjoyed the rest of the weekend on a high!! Very memorable :)

Graduation was huge... especially sharing it with my daughter. W5R3 broke me emotionally as it was the longest I’d ever run for. My highlight was probably the 7th or 8th of July though... I’d tried running for a month and was getting nowhere... and a serious parkrunner told me about C25K and said to make sure I joined a forum for support as I couldn’t commit to a run club programme... that day was the beginning of actually getting to 5k, and running, with wonderful support from all of you guys. Without that conversation after parkrun, I wouldn’t be running now... I’d still be out of shape and I wouldn’t be around for as many years.

I’ve set targets for 2019, and I’ll achieve them, but I have a feeling my highlight will be somewhere on the journey to them.

Happy new year AlMorr and everyone else reading.

That is great to hear from you UnfitNoMore, we all have different and varied ways when thinking of making our life much better, happier and healthier. Your running journey has really only just begun, I have always read your posts on C25K with admiration. You now aim to run a half marathon sometime in 2019 and a full 26 mile marathon in 2020, I certainly wish you the best of luck for your training for them, once again I wish you and your family a very happy and healthy New Year. 😊 🏃

Well, the half may be on hold as an event... I have my eyes on Equinox 24... 10k circuits for 24 hours and I’d be going as part of an 8, so I’d be looking at 3 10k runs over around 17 hours... if any of my team go sub 1 hour they can do another lap!

My highlight was a sub 30 ParkRun

Congratulations on running that sub 30 minute 5k Parkrun, of course that was the highlight of your year, IF I can run a sub 30 minute 5k in 2019 that certainly will be my highlight for running, perhaps you could even run a sub 25 minute 5K in 2019 😊🏃anyway, I wish you a happy running New Year 🎉.

My highlight of my running year was learning to run again after having to have custom orthotics made. I missed my running so much while they were being made. Then having to start again with week 1 run 1 when i got them. Have a great New Year. Rfc x

Always a pity if for any reason your health interrupts your running schedule. So happy now to learn that your highlight of 2018 was running again 'after custom orthotics made'.

I wish you RFC a very happy healthy running 2019 😊 🏃 🏃

Just like Ang33333 my highlight was running 5K for the 1st time a couple of weeks after completing C25K last month. It was pouring with rain and took me longer than the 30mins. Since I was already soaked through I thought I may as well just keep going. Felt really chuffed with myself for carrying on and achieving the 5K.

Happy New year to you SHF99, no rain ☔ will stop you from completing that 5K, well done.

9th December, my highlight of 2018

AlMorr profile image
AlMorrAmbassadorGraduate in reply toCeri1969

Was that the day you graduated, or ran week 5 run 3 or ran your first 5K parkrun?.

Ceri1969 profile image
Ceri1969Graduate in reply toAlMorr

Sorry, day I graduated! I’m a long way off a park run. Streuth! I can run 3.1k in 30 mins, take me all morning to complete a 5k lol

AlMorr profile image
AlMorrAmbassadorGraduate in reply toCeri1969

It takes time and patience Ceri, when I graduated from C25K I ran 4.2KM in 30 minutes, my first full 5k was in 34.21 a couple of weeks later and my PB of 32.25 was on the 10 October, so there is time for you to improve your times, no hurry though. 😊 🏃

AlMorr my highlight was half way through. I started the programme on a whim to keep someone company and they couldn’t continue after week 4. I think the fact I kept going and did that first run of week 5 on my own was unbelievable. I don’t know what made me keep going but I did. 😀

AlMorr profile image

Congratulations for continuing with week 5 and kept going, I assume you also ran run 3 of week 5 and graduated about 4 weeks later.
