That one was hard. I have a few injuries from having to bail from a motorbike thanks to a drunk driver (the bikes fine thank god) seriously bruised thigh and hurt the muscle in my chest/shoulder so it was a struggle but i kept with it but had to use the half way 2 minutes walk to sit instead. bring on round 3!

Well... you’re not an easy person to stop when you have a goal huh? Love the fact that the bike being fine is more of a worry than personal injury too... there speaks a true biker I guess.
Hope the bruises heal fast and that the drunk driver gets what they deserve. Keep on enjoying the running, you’re doing a great job.
lol im a stubborn old mule to the core. the bike is my baby i saved since i was 16 to get it and finally had enough just before my 25th birthday in november.
personally i think they should drop the driver off a cliff repeatedly its become a daily occurance now coming back from wor to be behind some prick swerving here there and everywhere but no plod to stop them.
Sadly not... don’t see as many traffic patrols since the advent of the speed camera, and while I’m not advocating speeding I think there are more problems with bad driving that the cameras don’t help with. I have a few biker mates and am very aware of bikes on the road and usually wave them past if I can see a clear road and they want to get by. Sadly the police are over stretched these days in many parts of the country.
yeah theres one big road in and out of where i live that everyone has to use and the speed limit is 40 but i've NEVER seen anyone go that slow on the road and never seen the speed cameras flash on them either when i first got the bike after ppassing my test i thought id be good and obey the speed limit and that lasted about 5 minutes. im glad you're aware of bikers because so many cars aren't im in full body high vis armoured suit and cars STILL pull out in front of me or get mad for simply existing. i've been filtering before and had a car open their door on me. if i didnt' break in time id be dead. we don't have police in my town or the next one at all ay more they closed the stations and we dont get occasional patrols any more either its a free for all.
I was taught that if I couldn’t tell my driving instructor if he asked what was behind me and I had to look then I wasn’t driving well, and that’s something I’ve always kept in my mind. I can tell when a biker wants to open it up a little and when they’re just cruising by their road positioning and then I’m looking for a chance to hug the kerb and get them by me... many a hand opened on the near side handlebar as they pass, shows sensible respect and off they go.
