Decided to run my second run this week on the road rather that at the Gym, despite the 30c heat I much preferred it to staring at the wall at the gym, although did find it a little harder but much easier to run at my own pace. I think I'll stick to outdoors from here on in.
Didn't find the runs quite as intimidating this time, and still surprised to find I'm quite enjoying it!

Well done, I agree running in the hot weather does have an impact. When I started C25K it was a very hot day around 1 o’clocK I think, so it was tough.
I had a recommendation from ‘fabulous450’ to run in the morning as it’s cooler. Why not try this as it might make it a bit easier and remember to keep hydrated.
I was thinking about that when I was about half way round, my only problem is that during the week I already have a 6am start to get to work and I'm not sure I have it in me to get up any earlier! I'm doing parkrun tomorrow so that should at least be in a cooler part of the day
Well done Paul! I've just moved to southern Sweden which is experiencing a heat wave at the moment so I feel your pain! Maybe if mornings aren't doable for you, you could squeeze it in to the evening when it is cooling down a bit? What week are you on? I've just finished week 1 Good luck!
That was an evening run, but I might try a bit later next time. I didn't mind it so much, but if I was running more than 90 seconds I think I might have melted!
Not too bad - I find it hard to keep up any sort of pace in the 6/7th running interval, but I have kept running so far. Luckily the place we have moved to is really flat and has a nice big park about 5 minutes walk away which is great. I feel a bit self conscious about all the other (much more competent) runners around though! Did you find week 2 a big step up?
I was surprised how much longer 90 felt the first time, but once I'd got the first interval out of the way it wasn't too bad. I do find my legs feeling tired towards the end of each interval, but just go at my own pace. I've resolved I'm not going to be fast, just want to finish..
Thanks, and its great to see graduates hanging around and contributing to the community. It must have been about 7ish when went out - had my water (even bought a proper running bottle!). Parkrun is at 9am tomorrow so I've frozen my bottle so it'll be nice and chilled too when we start
