Proud to say I graduated today. Fantastic programme would thoroughly recommend. Guess what? This was probably my slowest run yet and I felt much better for it. I’ve finally realised how to jog slow by watching a video I found online. youtu.be/9L2b2khySLE would thoroughly recommend to anyone struggling and really wish I found it in week 1. I think my trouble was that I have a competitive spirit (but not a competitive body), and had this idea to do the 5k park run. No I’m not going to do it, as I know what will happen I’ll overdo it and probably injure myself. I’m definitely going to continue with 3 runs a week though for sure. Anyway what a great Xmas present to myself...

Yay graduated
Very well done Pete! 👏👏👏 Slow is definitely the way to go. Snails have been my friends throughout C25K, parkrun and all the way to 10k. 🏃♀️🐌🏃♀️🐌🏃♀️
Enjoy your time on the podium and spend Christmas feeling proud of your fabulous achievement! 👍🏃🎉
Many congratulations on your graduation fellow runner.
This guide to post C25K running healthunlocked.com/couchto5... continues to tell you to run slowly along with other advice.
Keep running, keep smiling.
I love that video, not least because it has a westerner speaking Japanese. Great video and yes it would be perfect to see it before starting C25K. Thanks for posting.
Big congratulations on your graduation. I hope you do go to Park Run. Just concentrate on yourself. Let everyone else zoom past. It's no big deal 👍🏅😀
Snap! And congratulations! Merry Christmas to you 😊🎄
Good video with expert advice. Congratulations Pete B1961 on graduating and completing week 9 run 3 of C25K. To get your graduation badge and the word GRADUATE 🎓 next to your username leave a message on the December 🎄 🎅 graduate post in the pinned posts on the right side of the healthunlocked C25K home page and tell the administrators that you have ran W9R3 of C25K 🎓 🏃 😊
Congratulations! The key is to use the slow running for 80-85% of runs to give you mileage and keep the legs fresh for speed work and events... so once you’re in the discipline you could do parkrun and use it as a recovery run most weeks and once a month go for it. As you’re competitive you’ll find that approach with a good varied running plan will improve your times faster. Anyways, celebrate your achievement and have a very merry, and fitter, Christmas.
Well done 🎉, I watched that video a couple of weeks ago. It really helped me slow down. But the down side is I now struggle to catch the snail 🐌😂😂
