I’m 53, I didn’t even run at school (wrote my own notes to get out of pe). I’m classed as obese (working on that), I did w5r2 this morning and looking forward to r3. When I first started I struggled running 30sec and the first week I thought I was going to die. If I can do it, anyone can. It’s a brilliant plan, go slow and steady run at a pace you could comfortably talk. The saying on here is ‘embrace your inner snail’. I’m my case I couldn’t even catch a snail but I’m happy as both feet are off the ground at same time....that’s running. Well done for getting out there and starting this fantastic plan. YOU CAN DO THIS!

Congratulations both to you Shelley2310 on getting to week 5 and Trebore on starting C25K, good luck, embrace that inner snail and take all the runs slow and steady 🏃. 😊

Trust the programme you can and will do it, i'm 50 next year, like loads off others i really struggled with the first 30 seconds, now either join or volunteer at local park run, and joined a run group for mid week running (well i say running, i'm a snail shuffler).

Take it easy and you'll smash it.

Good Luck

Well done on starting! You may have ups and downs, emotional and literal! But it's totally worth it.

I am 55 . Did not really run even at school. Just completed run 4 after graduation. Go for it . Best thing I have ever done (other than marriage of course). Go slow, stick to the plan and enjoy.

Good for you for doing this now. You can do it! Just remember: It's about finishing, not finishing fast. So just go as slow as you like. You can run for a lot longer than you think as long as you're going slow! Good luck. There's such a sense of accomplishment when you finish. :)
