I don't like running to music (when I do I feel the time goes slower as I know each song is around 3 mins so I find myself thinking about the time rather than focusing on running)
Please suggest any good podcasts you have discovered.
Something funny or story related or even self improvement podcasts would be great!

I listen to podcasts and usually pick something which is at least 30 mins long. I enjoy some documentaries like seriously or in our time (bbc) or NPR. Audio books are also great.
Yes, I prefer listening to something interesting too, rather than music. At the moment I’m listening to Dr Rangan Chattergee’s podcasts: “Feel Better, Live More”. In each podcast he interviews someone about a different aspect of healthy living, such as nutrition, meditation, etc etc. Very inspiring!
Hi Mrun1, I listen to a variety of radio 4 podcasts- lots to choose from. My favourite is ‘Desert island discs’ - pick your person! The ‘Food program’ is another. - I once ran to a good one about how porridge is cooked and eaten in different parts of the world, ( Scottish mother, so life with porridge is my “normal” ! )😄
I think after the focus of the program it is a bit tricky. That’s when designing our own program and having exercise discipline need to kick in. Good luck, I hope you feel better about it soon. 😀
Thank you! I'll check it out. I don't know if it's just me but if I don't have something good to listen to then I find the run such a struggle, I literally find my self wanting to quit after 5 mins ha!
I find those thoughts forefront usually during first 5-10 minutes when try to settle into a rhythm. I tend to break the time into distances along the run to pass(I run on a track and so count laps). Once I get 1/3 in I seem to settle and feel more confident of finishing and stop worrying about it. A good podcast does help, music upsets my rhythm. The first 5-10 minutes I find easier to get through knowing that you just have to keep plodding on!
