Hi all - I have recently graduated in November and would like to get my gait analysis done and treat myself to some new shoes! There is an Up and Running shop about half an hour away from where I live. Would anyone recommend them? Thank you 😊

Hi Jig

Yes, I had gait analysis in the Up and Running shop in Manchester. I was nervous as I was only on about week 3 of C25K and had never run on a treadmill! I needn’t have worried; the guy that served me was friendly and knowledgeable and put me at my ease. He identified my gate as neutral and brought me several pairs to try on - no pressure. The most comfortable turned out to be the most expensive, but I never looked back and have had eight months of injury free running since then and clocked up a fair few miles.......

Might soon be time to get a new pair 🤔!

Good luck with your gait analysis.

Thank you! I am nervous as it’s the first time ever in a running shop but think my feet deserve new shoes 👍🏻

Definitely! You won’t regret it. It’ll be like running on springs! It reminded me of the feeling of walking on new carpets with new underlay! 😂

You might find this post about running shoes helpful healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

Take your old shoes with you when you go for gait analysis.........their wear pattern tells a story........and go dressed so that your lower legs are visible when running and don't forget to take the socks you normally wear to run.

It is a painless and fascinating process.
