Week7 run1

So I really didn’t think I’d get to this point but just completed my second 25 minute run. Can’t say it was much easier than the first but managed it. Now slightly concerned about speed, I reckon I’m doing 3k in 25 minutes which is not really going to take me to 5k. Is this exceptionally slow for week 7 or is this an okay pace? I’ve got nothing really to gauge it to..

Don’t worry about that! Honestly don’t 🙂. It’s just the name of the programme to make it sound catchier. It could as well be Couch to 3k or 2 or 4 km. I don’t think anyone gets to 5k at the end It doesn’t matter. what’s important is that you completed the programme and can call yourself a Graduate at the end of run 3 on week 9

Til then keep plugging away slow and steady. Slow running builds legs, along with your rest days 💪👍🏃‍♂️

Have fun 😃👍

How far you run isn't important as long as you run for 25 mins.

Hi there, yes today was the day for my Week7, run 1 and I was just happy to get my breathing into a flow and find my rhythm. I do wear a FitBit tho and on my next run, I’ll check the distance 25 mins takes me. Can’t believe I’ve got this far to be honest, especially for someone who hated running. Well done to you though! Onwards and upwards 👍😁

I have just completed W7 R2 and I’m averaging 3km in 25mins I figure pave will increase with time

Okay thanks that gives me something to go on. I know everyone goes on about keeping slow but I don’t want to be ridiculously slow as I would like to do a 5k park run sometime. Hopefully will get a bit quicker as I get fitter.

I’ve just come in from running W7R1 and I reckon I do about 2.4 k in 25 mins so you’re way faster than me! Well done! I’m just glad I can do it without stopping.😅
