Just completed week 2 run 3. I had a cold and felt crappy so did it in my bedroom on the spot. Should I redo the run outside or move on to week 3?

Sorry about your cold EW85, if you were 'running' week 2 run 3 on a treadmill in your bedroom you don't need to redo it outside.

I’m redoing it outside, I don’t have a treadmill 😫. Thanks Emma.

Emma, should that not be AlMorr, perhaps your laptop or Smartphone had a slight glitch.

Move outside...unless.... you were on a trainer or treadmill. not sure if you meant running on the spot...or just in your bedroom... You need to build up those running muscles.

But..if you felt under par...heal well...and then repeat the run..:)

Thanks yes I was doing it on the spot. I still wanted to do it. I’ll redo it today then. Thanks Emma.

Welcome to the forum and well done on getting started.

This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5... it is full of tips.

Running on the spot will develop your cardio fitness, but will not work your leg muscles in the same way as taking strides.

When fully recovered just do the run again. This is about building up stamina and strength not just ticking off the workouts.

Enjoy your journey.

I completed the same yesterday, I’m loving this app. Felt silly at first but don’t care now. 6 runs down a bit worried about week 3 running 3 minutes straight but I’ll give it ago x

Hi,

That is what I said last week. Just run 3 x 5 minutes in week 4. We continue to be amazed at what the human body can do that the mind thinks not possible.

Thanks everyone, I felt better by the time it was run time and just redid the run. X
