It's been the coldest morning since I started this. I didn't go as fast today, is that normal? Does the cold make it harder, or am I just having one of those days?

Still ran the whole 28mins, then I got the last week of this.

Wow....

Thanks much for all the support

Cheers

Dooze

Good run.

Ideal temperature for running is about 45F and I believe we’re all below that today, so the cold will have a little effect.

Don’t worry though, it’s about the 28!

Enjoy week 9

Well done Doozer. I completed week 8 this morning too and it was cold, dull and damp here in Yorkshire. Good luck for Week 9.

Well done! I am a huge wimp about the cold generally and it takes a lot of will power to go out in these temperatures - well done on powering through.

I have no scientific knowledge to back this up, but I don't like the cold air in lungs feeling when you first start up (makes it harder to find a breathing rhythm), plus it takes longer for my leg muscles to warm up - I guess either of those factors might affect speed?
