Hello guys just after abit advice again. I'm plodding along into week five now. Just completed run one of week five and I've just spied on run 3 of week 5 and I'm totally confused it's 20 minutes. is this a mistake on my app or is this right? I can barely run 5 mins but I've loved the structure and managed every challenge so far and I'm so nervous I won't be able to run that long yet. have people managed to do this without stopping??? thanks in advance x x x

Week 5 run 3
I thought the same when I peeked at the 3 sessions in W5, I think everyone does! Trust in the programme, your body will be ready for it, it’s only your head that thinks it’s too big a step up. You’ll be elated when you do it, which you will. 👍🏻💪🏻
Hehe... your Little Miss Doubt is strong!
Little Miss Doubt talks to you... she tells you you can’t do it. She knows that run 2 is more than 20 minutes of heart rate raising workout... have a look at it again with the brisk walk break added in... but she won’t tell you. Little Miss Doubt loves the easy life, she loves the sofa, she loves doing nothing. It’s not her fault, she doesn’t think she can... she doesn’t think you can. She’s wrong. You’re stronger than her, you’re willing to make the effort, if you “fail” and run 15 she will tell you so... 15 running of 20 is a failure for her. 15 running is probably a victory for you. If you don’t get 20 you still run and you get stronger for that run... you come back and you kick 20’s ass... Little Miss Doubt would make it the excuse she needs to quit and return to watching crap on TV and doing nothing. Vicki is stronger than her. Vicki won’t give in, Vicki can, Vicki will. Vicki is smart enough to go nice and slowly from that start line and just run... Vicki is strong enough to not stop when it gets tough, she will grit her teeth, dig deep and finish the job.
If I had the choice, I’d be Vicki... Little Miss Doubt sucks.
Relax, believe and just run that run... you can do it.

Yes, but on my third attempt. It's a psychological challenge more than a psyiological one. Once you do it the rest fall like dominoes. Luck.
I've just done w5r1 after several days off with a nasty cold. Was very nervous going into it as I struggled with week 4 runs. But I just went for it and got through it quite comfortably. Surprised the hell out of me!
It really is as much if not more of a psychological barrier than a physical one. So I'm committed to just getting on with run 2 and 3 and see how I get on. Hopefully you can too. It's natural to be nervous and doubt yourself. But this isn't a competition and I think if you can just look at it as a way to gradually progress to running longer and longer and building stamina and health rather than something hugely target driven, you'll be fine. Good luck with the rest of week 5!!!
