So, just done Wk 5, Run 2 - but Wk 5, Run 3 to come. 20 minutes - how can that be possible?! Am nervous!
However, a lesson from today is the power of distraction. My app seemed to freeze up half way; the music stopped & the clock on the app stopped ticking. Thankfully Michael Johnson was still speaking loud & clear in my ear. The amazing thing was that I was so distracted trying to get it all to work again, that I hardly noticed running the second lot of 8 minutes π!
Maybe I can arrange for something similar to happen when I do Wk 5, Run 3 on Monday π!

This is such a great link! I was a bit bothered about 2x 8min for my next run but as you point out itβs virtually identical to week 4. Iβve said elsewhere today that my new mantra is βtrust in the programmeβ π Thank you
On week 5 too. Except our run leader changed things round a bit so we did a longer run last week. We ran 20 mins on Thursday. Found it easier than the shorter run I did today. I think I paced myself better x you got this x
I did Wk5 R2 on Friday; the 2 x 8mins felt a big step up and like you, I was very apprehensive about R3. Iβve just completed R3, however, and feel elated! Good luck to you for your R3 but you can definitely do it.
I remember feeling exactly the same way. I tried to put off the 20 min run all day π Then I finally went out and did it and realised I had nothing to worry about, you CAN do it!
Now I'm on W7R3 and after each run I'm so pleased with myself. The programme really works, trust it, you're ready for this!
