Just back from completing week 3 . The run went ok but I seem to be getting slower. Is this because I’m jogging further ? Is there a point when I could speed up ?I know it’s not a race and at the moment I’m not much faster than a brisk walk pace.

Well done on completing week 3:) just go slow and steady and as long as you’re finishing the runs you’re doing well!

Well done

The rules for running with minimised injury risk include to go further or faster on a run, but never both. This plan has you going further all the time, so faster isn’t needed, in fact not only will you keep the injury risk down if you go slow, you build better muscles.

Pace is something to work on after graduation... first extend above 5k to have a bigger tank and then do some shorter fast runs. That’s not important now though!
