Week 9 Run 3 in the bag!!

I did it! I completed C25K on Monday morning. It was just another run but I'm so happy I completed this programme without injuries or sickness. I can't run 5K in 30 minutes but I'm going to focus on consolidating my 30 minute runs 3 times a week and running a Parkrun by the end of this year. Next year I'll extend one weekly run a week to 60 minutes and start a 10K training programme. There's no rush. I'll take my time and enjoy my running. I feel fantastic.

This forum is an amazing corner of the internet full of lovely people. The advice and support has helped me every step of the way, so thank you all.

Good luck to all of you on your journeys throughout the programme. You can do it! C25K works!

Congratulations and perfect attitude! It’s all about enjoying it. 5k will come, so will 10... not seeing it as a chore is what makes you want to do it again. Have a great celebration and love those consolidation runs.

It's so peaceful in the mornings. I only see other runners, cyclists and dog walkers at that time. I think a regular Parkrun will help me get to 5K over time.

Congratulations. I thought the map looked familiar, I often stay with friends who live on Plough Way and have been looking forward to running there, since the madness of loving running invaded my brain. Nice and flat and the view towards the river at night, with all the lights is just fabulous.

Thanks it's a great place to run and very peaceful in the early mornings. I'm not keen on running on busy streets and alongside traffic so it suits me.
