I’ve just done W3R3 and I’m enjoying this,

The 3 minute runs are no longer a challenge,

My week 4 will start either very early on Friday if I’m up in time before work, or on Sunday night after dropping my daughter off at home

I’ve already managed a Parkrun last weekend

And I’m looking forward to the W4 challenge :)

If you’ve already managed a ParkRun, do you need to do this?

I can get quicker and easier, the Parkrun took 37:40

I think following this plan will guide me to the best result

Stick to the plan... huge injury risks running a full parkrun at this stage, although there’s nothing wrong with doing the C25K runs at one.

I think that’s what you’re doing, so good run today.

I did my W3R1 at the Parkrun, paced by 2 ladies from a local club

I know I could’ve done it faster, but I didn’t risk it, I did ‘run’ for the majority but at almost my brisk walk pace

Then you did risk it! But no matter, that’s in the past and you’re not nursing a muscle injury and back on the couch 😂. Most beginners injuries are caused by pushing to long or too fast too early.

I’ve been regularly walking 10k at this same pace for the past 5 months doing 150miles a month

I can walk a 5k in 43mins, so 37:40 wasn’t pushing it too much

It’s not the speed, it’s the different leg action... you have great walking conditioning, obviously, but running conditioning is different, as is cycling etc and that’s why we can run one day and cycle and walk in rest days. I’m not trying to put you down, just a little worried you’ll risk it again and it not end so well.
