Can’t belive how far I have come since I started with Week one, First run on September 17th. I started out hardly daring to believe that I would be able to run anywhere near 5K, nor for 30 minutes, BUT, here I am, a 60 something Grandma, and Finished my Graduation run on my Local Parkrun course today at a speed equalling 5K in under 40 minutes .
To say that I am astonished is a very big Under statement.
Thank you to everyone’s encouraging posts, who I have been avidly reading, if not posting that much.
I can only say that , truly If I can do it, then You can too !

Congratulations Chi_Chi on graduating and completing C25K with week 9 run 3. That is a wonderful achievement on running the full 5K in just under 40 minutes, you only had to run for 30 minutes to graduate 🎓.

Brilliant effort chi_chi. Good to have another over 60 graduate!! After a few weeks consolidation and general messing around, I settled on Bridge to 10k. I like a bit of structure!! You will have your own plans; whatever they are, enjoy your moment and many happy K’s to come😊👍
Congratulations! That parkrun course is a good place to do it... it’s even better with encouraging marshals... bet they can’t wait to see you. Enjoy celebrating and consolidating.
Well done Chi_Chi. Good for you. I’m a sixty-something too, that graduated last week. I’ve even just about got over the mental angst that everyone’s looking at me and thinking, “Silly ol’ gal!” But now I just don’t care, I’m free as I’m running! I’ve started Race at your Pace, it’s kept me motivated to run 3 times a week, and 25 miles over a month is very doable now (no way a few weeks back) and also I’m not tempted then into running any more than 5k at a time.
You can Do it !!! don’t forget to let us all know how great it feels, as inspitation to all those who have recently started their running journeys. 😉🏃♀️🏃🏻♂️
