Things you see when out running

I'm very lucky to have some lovely places to run right on my doorstep, I have approx 15 miles of beach path, a path that follows a river and a park and golf course right opposite me and whilst running I'm always looking around at everything and taking it all in as I run, but yesterday I had to stop running and take this photo of a female Kestrel perched on a branch watching for its next meal.

I'm in central London (well, zone 3), but I run on Tooting Common, and there's still plenty to see (no kestrels sadly), but lots of autumn color on the trees, birds, water fowl on the lake (and yes rats around the 'pond', but they're wildlife too, right?). I'm always glad to get out into the fresh(ish) air!

Cool... I’ve not seen one in the wild for years.
