I hate the first part of the run of all the weeks so far. My breathing is rubbish and my knees hurt so then I worry I can’t do the whole session but I settle in and manage to complete it.
But my god I’m struggling at the last 60s of each 5min section.

I dunno about easier... it’s over after the next run though!
You’re completing the runs, that’s the main thing... the plan really pushes you in the first half, and fitness barely keeps up, that strong mind however gets you through. Soon running will start to get easier, even if the weeks don’t. You’re doing great, keep it nice and slow and believe in yourself... soon be week 9
I was like you I was struggling with week 4 and what worked for me was repeating week 3 don't know why but it helped . Sometimes it can feel like hard work but what a great feeling when you finish a run .😊😊😊
It's VERY common to find the first bit of a run difficult. There's science about why, actually.
Even once you're at the end of this programme and able to run for 30 minutes, you'll probably find the first 8 to 10 minutes hard. Just ignore the gremlins in your head who're lying to you and telling you you're not going to manage it. They're completely wrong.
