Week 5 Completed!

With some trepidation I set off this morning for W5R3, having worries about reoccurring injuries at the back of my mind. I took it steady, still trying to aim for mid foot running, and a "slow jog", I heel strike and "run" rather than jog, at least I did 55 years ago, and I still did when I set out on this adventure. It's taken me four months and various injuries to get here, and at 72 changing my style hasn't been easy but for the past two weeks it's worked (thanks to all the advice that I've read on here) and I have been relatively injury free! 20 minutes wasn't easy, but I did it! So if anyone has doubts about their ability to do this, if I can, you can! Looking forward to Wednesday Week 6!

Great run. Takes a lot of concentration to change your gait fully... well done on that score too. Enjoy Wednesday, slow and steady is the key to week 6

Thank you. Trying hard to keep them at bay, still have a "niggle" with the left knee but got a Dr's appointment in a fortnight and have booked a cortisone injection that should help!
