Got some pain in the side of my right knee after completing W3R3 on Thursday night. I didn’t think it was that bad, but I had to stop running this morning after a few strides. Any doctors out there?

Most new runner's aches and pains are caused by the impact of running so do all you can to minimise it.

Slow down, avoid heelstriking, keep footfall under your body not out in front, run on grass or treadmill, wear proper running shoes fitted after a gait analysis done at a specialist running shop.

There are knee strengthening exercises here nhs.uk/live-well/exercise/k...

For the time being follow the advice on injury that is linked to from the guide to the plan healthunlocked.com/couchto5...
