Wow, tough week but I stepped it up for run3 and took it outside. My legs were like jelly at the end. The first 5 mins were the hardest as think I went too fast as not easy to gauge how fast I was running. Went quicker though and more interesting as I was running around a lake. The pesky ducks and geese wouldn’t get out of the way though ha ha. I’ll try the same again for W8R1 and see how it goes

Great run... transition to/from the great outdoors isn’t easy. Good job completing and getting the pace right.

Quack quack,🦆 probably the ducks in their own way were cheering or should I say quacking🦆 you on, most new and not so new runners legs feel like jelly after running 🏃 for 25 minutes, good luck for week 8, perhaps you could run🏃 a different route and avoid those darned 🦆 ducks.

Maybe you went off too fast but even when you don't, the first ten minutes of a run are usually the hardest. That may seem counterintuitive - you might think it'd get harder as you got tired - but it's actually a well understood PHYSICAL phenomenon. It's not in your mind, there are physiological reasons for it. Warming up properly and starting at a slow pace can make it a bit easier. Google 'toxic ten' if you want more detail about the mechanics of what makes the first ten minutes harder. Worth bearing in mind because when you're on a 20 or 25 minute run you may think 'I may as well stop, I can't do another 15 minutes like the first ten'. But they won't be like the first ten, and you will be able to do it.
