W9R1 - 4.45km done

It wasn't easy run, as my furry running buddy forgot how to run next to me, so I had quite lot of corrections to do ans was annoyed several times. But she hasn't been running with me past two runs. But we did it and completed yet another run :)

Even though it was cold, I start to believe that world is holding its breath to see if I finish this program. For the past 8 weeks I had really good weather during my runs, even if it wa far from good during rest of the day (like my running between rains) O_O

I cannot disappointe the Earth!

Thank you for today's inspiration and motivation: lusmo , Hidden , Jazzyjeff11 , and sHAYM4N :)

Well done. You're not that far off the 5k 😁 maybe if the hound remembered their running manners you'd have been even closer 👏👏

Thank you :) I think she is giving me quite a lot of distraction and I don't feel so tired, as 98% of my focus is on her and everything that can make her excited or 'angry' (e.g. cats).

Great run IgaT! Great distance too you little pocket rocket 🚀 without the dog there really isn’t going to be much between you and 5K!!! Can’t wait for you to graduate now and really looking forward to running 10K with you over the bridge 🤩🙌⭐️🎃👻

Soon ThunderSloth, very soon ;)

I can't wait to my first 5K, some tempo runs, zombie runs, and all the path to 10k :)

Only 2 more runs, I cannot believe it. I almost can feel the air on the finish line. I almost can grab it... Almost... Just few more steps :)

Thank you :) I can see the finish line :) I can hear the crowd cheering :)

Only 2 more slow and steady runs, and I will become full grown up runner :)

But for those two runs, I will be happy toddler playing with my runs :P

Hey IgaT you’re so close to the magical 5k! But please don’t get hung up on achieving it on graduation and do yourself a mischief!!

I run with my dog too and she knows that her harness means a nice slow trot next to mum and I hardly ever need to correct her now. It’s lovely running with a furry friend isn’t it? ❤️ 🐕

IgaT profile image
IgaTGraduate in reply tocheekychipmunks

Yes, it is lovely, especially those minutes when she behaves and knows what to do. I think after graduation we will have few back to basics runs, i.e. what dog should do when she is on a short bungee lead instead of her normal long one :P

But first things first. Mummy needs to graduate ;)

Thank you for warning and advice regarding graduation 5k. To be honest, I was thinking about extending my slow run over 30 min to reach 5k, but with the aame alow pace as usual.

You’ll reach 5k very soon that’s for sure. You’ll probably find you won’t even need to try, it’ll just happen! You’re obviously naturally quick! 👍🏃‍♀️

Good luck with graduating, 5k or not! You’ve got this. And good luck with your dog too - she’ll learn! ❤️

Well, I am not sure about this 'naturally quick' part :P it alp depends on the day. I had runs that I covered about 2.5k in 25min ;) But I am trying to push myself, especially in the second half of the run and the last minute sprint ;)

Well the fact that you have run that far in 30 minutes is impressive enough for a 🐌 like me! My best 5k is 37.02 at parkrun, and I graduated in August! 😅

Speed is not so important, as the time or distance ;)

So nearly there Iga! You've done wonders to run with your furry buddy as long as you have, and bet she has loved it :) Love the comment about the world holding it's breath - know that feeling, it's getting pretty cold and dark now, but so strange how lucky I've been in terms of the bad wet & windy stuff so far! Really good distance too, that 5K will be in grasp very soon no doubt :) More importantly 2 runs until graduation, excited to see that badge well and truly deserved next to your name.

Before the week ends, before the sun will set on Sunday, my running family will have a long post to read. The post about joys, tears, and struggles of one little girl who conquered her fears and reach for a dream of becoming a runner.

Does the hound graduate from c25k too? Sounds like she needs to go back and re-run some of the earlier weeks :)

IgaT profile image

Hahaha, I bet she made way more than 5K by running around as well as back and forth :D she will receive the dog cookie badge and a belly rub :)
