Park Run

I finished week 7 and felt there was some left in the tank so I tried a local park run. After defrosting the windscreen and gulping down a protein shake for breakfast I headed out. Generally friendly folk and managed to finish my first full 5k in 34:08. I'm pretty OK with that finish time. I will complete weeks 8 & 9 to support the wifey. Any other Sixfields Upton Park Runners lurking on here?

Well done.

You need to see out the rest of the programme for your own sake.

Just because you have run 5k does not suddenly turn your body into that of a seasoned runner. It takes many months, if not years, to strengthen your body and you need to make sure that you don't do too much too soon.

Take care.
