A chilly one today! After the significant and surprising knee pain of yesterday, the self-treatment regime has done wonders and it feels almost right this morning: certainly 80%. I had planned to run week 2 run 2 this morning but am really keen to keep my new-found momentum going so I went out in my running kit for a brisk walk with a few gentle jogs thrown in as a test. I put on the week 1 podcast and used the timings and ended up jogging (very slowly) runs 1-3 and 5-8, giving myself a longer walk in the middle. It was more than I’d intended but my knee felt good and the running was easy. I kept to this track today so was off tarmac but it’s relatively short so I was back & forth a lot, but close to home in case of knee failure! Back to stretching and ice and fingers crossed I can jump back into week two after the weekend.
