I am a firm believer in giving credit where credit is due and thanking people.
I realise we often talk about this wonderful platform but we never really mention Healthunlocked. The forum is provided by them with the backing of One you,
I went to meet them earlier this year and had a great sit down meeting with them.
This was their official statement about what they are trying to achieve
“HU have partnerships with PHE and NHS Choices but they are not paid by those organisations to provide a platform for the forums. Our communities are run for free, as HU believe that the organisations are struggling financially and HU can benefit the population as a whole by giving us this space to help people be informed and supported on their health issues and their road to recovery.”
On talking with them I realise they are as passionate about what they are doing as we all are on here. They are trying to make a universal platform that will grow and become one of the biggest spaces providing proactive health for many. I love the fact that we get to be part of this and that we are all having the opportunity to grow and learn together.
When we got to talking about what the admins do on the forum, I mentioned that Graduation Badges was becoming one of the biggest jobs we do with a massive increase of the amount of badges we give out a month. We divide the jobs up between the admins into monthly jobs and it is always the busiest job of the month, it is also the best part of the admin job, seeing all you wonderful graduates coming through and then requesting your badges. To give each badge we had to go through a three page set up to allocate the badge.
After the meeting they said, leave it with us. This weekend we have a new drop down menu that allows us to quickly allocate the badge and it is brilliant.
I just wanted to write this post because this amazing organisation works quietly in the background and allows us to have this great forum and they do it because they care. The new way of giving badges makes things so much easier. What a lovely thing they have done by putting the work in as soon as they realised we were finding it hard and then made it better.
So thank you Healthunlocked, you really rock for all you do for us.
