My first park run in quite a while. I ran with a friend which Iโve never done before. I needed a pee from the off- why canโt park runs start at public toilets? ๐ Its all I could think about all the way, hoping I didnโt pee myself ๐ I pushed through the last 100metres and then promptly threw up just after the finish line.
Iโve been good for nothing the rest of the day. Itโs a damn lie that exercise gives you energy ๐๐ but I have been feeling pretty pleased with myself and grateful to my friend for the support.

I knew needing a pee made decision making better, but I didnโt know it could also light up some PBs! Congratulations on them. One of my local parkruns is in a park with no toilets at all, I donโt think I fancy that one, despite it being very flat.
I only live five mins away from deal park run but I get anxious and suffer from nervous bladder. I could never go where there were no toilets at all. I plan all my runs near toilets or some very isolated bushes ๐๐
Funny ๐ obvious you had to run on rocket fuel to get to the nearest loo๐คฃ. Use to live in Walmer as a child. Fond memories. I digress. Congrats on Parkrun๐๐ป
There were no loos at the Parkrun I did this morning, my wife wouldn't go there because of that, but I made sure I drained the sump before I left home and was fine, just didn't drink anything much about an hour or so before the run.. but it was flipping cold though!
I absolutely will not go to parkrun or any organised run where there aren't loos. There's something about a start line that makes my bladder full to bursting regardless of whether I've 'been' before setting off....and as for a 10k I just get in the loo queue, go to the loo, then go and get back in the queue, go to the loo, ad infinitum until the run starts ! I know its not logical but I can't help myself so you were remarkably restrained !!
