Hmm mmm, in case you haven't heard, I graduated today ๐๐คฃ
As a special treat to myself I had my gait analysis done and bought some lovely new trainers for myself. I lurvvvve them...
Going solo next week, continuing for 30 mins 3 times a week to hopefully increase my distance. Admin/Moderators, please let me know if it's ok to still post on here.

Wowsers.. a well deserved treat too! Wishing You lots of Happy Running... !
You post where you like .... after the Graduation party there is much to choose from... consolidation is great... plenty of 30 minutes... some runs just because you can too. I called them runs for pure joy Try some new routes.. a few short runs and maybe as you move on, slip in a longer, 'see where I get to' run... I do that on a Sunday morning, early ...I do not however have small boys to keep me company though.( my Grammy days are Tuesday and Wednesday with our small runner in training:))
After a couple of weeks or so maybe try the C25K + podcasts, which are challenging but fun and very helpful as we move on.. and check out this great post from IannodaTruffe ...
Then... when you feel like it, pop across to Bridge to 10K...not necessarily to get to 10K... but the Consolidation and Continuation chat on there is great for new Graduates
Congratulations 'Rooster678 on graduating,๐๐ feels wonderful.๐ You can continue to post here on C25K as much as you like, telling us all about your progress and like me just now, congratulating people like you who have just graduated ๐
Niiiiccceee runners Rooster! Youโll fly in those babies!
Gosh, youโre polite asking about still posting on here! Iโve only just started posting on B210K having lurked there since graduating in August! I wasnโt kicked off here (although now Iโm wondering if they were thinking โoh heck, her again??โ! ๐ ๐ ๐
Hi to Rooster and cheekychipmunks . I still pop back to here, where it all began for me 6 years ago ๐ฎ. Itโs my 6 year runniversary this month but have forgotten the actual date. Itโs nice to see how people progress and bounce around the other two forums as well. Just mooch around, post, help and learn where you can. Itโs all part of the fun ๐
Oh dear, now I've seen that one can treat oneself with new trainers for graduating, I might have to do an early run on Sunday then get myself over to Runners World! Love the trainers!
Except that I bought some nice bright pink Adidas trainers to start the programme, so I don't NEED them...
Hangs head in shame.... I also bought some cheaper Karimoor trainers at week 3 but without gait analysis. I know enough about my feet with planter fasciitis and flat feet but I'm so pleased with the gait analysis and these new trainers. Runners World are doing a sale of current stock in about 3 weeks when they get new stock in so maybe wait until then if you're going to treat yourself. I'm so excited to wear them on my next run.
Interesting, despite all my feet problems I'm a neutral runner, I came out armed with lots of information so that I can go on to buying more pairs in the future. The chap checked my walking gait and running gait and immediately knew what type of trainers would be right for me. Then it was a case of a trainer catwalk. It was fun and informative. Worth it in my opinion.
Thanks. My worrie is if I have it done .. to be told my gait is all wrong and I'm running bad! ๐ฑ Please u got sorted, did u do the catwalk alone?? ๐. I also have some karrimors that I bought from a large sports store... happy running
No, the chap was with me for every walk test with 6 pairs of trainers. I have planter fasciitis, flat feet and wear insoles so really needed to make sure I have the right trainers. He was very good.
