I went. I completed all 25 minutes running. I enjoyed (kind of). I did finish on high note by increasing my speed. I haven't been running so fast (slow) since week 4. I did my PB. I finished with 20 min walk, well... partially jog, as I started to get cold. I completed my 40 minutes stretching session and nice warm shower. Now dinner time, followed by legs against the wall - I was too hungry to do it earlier and still had to cook.
My do happy. I am kind of happy. Definitely filling accomplished something today. And a little proud of myself.
Happy running!
P.S. Thanks lusmo for motivation! The ball is in your court now Waiting for Friday post.

I believe those runs are saving my sanity and are keeping me in an acceptable state I can't say I can't wait to run, but I know that I cannot stop, not now. Well... we know each other a while, so to be honest. I have to run not to have a mental breakdown. But I am fine, thanks to running. Maybe not great, but I will be
Yes, I cannot imagine that it is so close. Although half a year ago I've completed week 7: healthunlocked.com/couchto5.... So fingers crossed for... luck - for no emergencies, no injuries, no flu, no unexpected events. The plan is:
Friday: work, chiropractic, and run W7R3.
Saturday: water fast
Sunday: regaining my strength
Monday: work, run W8R1 (very slow, or even slower).
Yes, it is just some wierd pain, like tired or slightly pulled muscle. It is not even pain, it feels like it is under constant stretch, even in normal position. However, gentle stretching feels good, on the boarder with pain, but good. Well, soon I will have 2 days of rest It should help.
Well, I never believed the max speed / max pace. It probably picks a milliseconds when my dog pulled me or suddenly stop / run backwards as she is having sudden pit stop or just a sniff that I didn't expected.
Not that it matters at this point, but I am quite far away from 5k in 30 min With this speedy for me pace, I would cover 4.32 km (2.68 miles) in 30 min.
But slow and steady is my motto It is not a race, at least not yet. It is my running journey
Thank you. I haven't heard about anybody who was trying to finish this programme for so long I am no quitter. I do not give up! I am persistent, or just stubborn
Well done, brilliant effort. You are right to feel proud of yourself. The finishing line is in sight. I'm doing W7R2 tomorrow, hope I do as well as you. Still need to try that legs up the wall malarkey ππ
I can't believe it's only 7 runs! I still feel like it is far away...
I am still working on my goal - run 3x per week no matter what. The rest will come with time But running for 25 minutes... Man, that's impressive! I didn't think about that, I was always just trying to survive each and every run, and tried to enjoy it - sometimes it worked, sometimes not. But not so long ago we struggle with 60 seconds - 1 minute of running. Now, look at us!
That is amazing! Well done! I was having terrible trouble with knees in the early weeks until someone told me to do some leg strengthening exercises. Then I found this excellent video showing 5 minute preparation for running exercises (one of them covers hip flexor) and I found it really does help me. runnersworld.com/health-inj...
