What time would be good to move on

What time should I aim to try and get my 5k to before I move on to 10k. Few people have said 27 would be a good stepping block and would help a lot with the 10k

The two aren’t exclusive.., to bring your 5k time down, start moving towards 10k.

You just run... finish the nine weeks... and then lots of consolidation and continuation...You don't need to be running 5K right away...

Lots of information here when you are ready...

I can run the 5k. Just really seeing if I work on my speed over next weeks before moving to 10k or do I just start now. The app starts at week 9 for the 10k

There is no strict time regarding when C25K graduates move on to beyond 5K Johnnylewis. (I got a new microwave today from your namesake John Lewis)

It is recommended that once anyone graduates after W9R3 they run at least 5/30 minute consolidation runs before they start training for longer runs, in my case I wanted to run the full 5k distance before thinking about doing any longer runs.

I have never run 5k in less than 35 minutes in my life but I happily built up to 10 miles last year. Pace isn’t a pre-req to stamina.

You are asking a question for which there is no answer. If you run fast it takes you less time to run 10k than if you run slowly.

As you increase your duration and distance you need to reduce your pace, not speed up.

Have you read the guide to post C25K running? healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

OMG if I had to wait till I could run 5k in 27 minutes I would never be able to aim for 10k 🤣. For 🐌🐌 like me, it's just about getting better slowly but surely.

I think the 5 (or whatever number suits you) 5k consolidation runs and then starts working on it is a good idea.

All the best with your progress xxx
