Graduation eventually!

I started back in May, and was going along ok until a lovely bus accident in June which left me with a broken left shoulder and right hand, and put a huge dent in my running plans. Had to go back to Week 1 when I was able to start again in late July, and could only manage one run a week (still in a sling), but I persevered, and got there in the end. Never in my life have I been able to run 30 minutes without stopping, not even as a child, so this programme has performed some kind of miracle to get me here! I haven't posted much, but I have read this forum constantly for information, advice, and seeing that everyone had pretty much the same struggles as I did.

OldFloss's Slow and Steady advice was my mantra (I certainly took the slow part to heart!), IannodaTruffe's FAQ posts were hugely helpful, and all the forum posts (particularly those who also had knee pain, the stretches and strengthening links helped a lot) are the reason I got here in the end. Kind of wish I had started this *much* earlier in life (maybe wouldn't have looked quite so exhausted at the end of it!), and that C25K had existed back then, but better late than never! If I can do it, anyone can - this programme is amazing.

Now to work out how to carry on without Michael talking me through it....

Through adversity to glory!!!

Many congratulations on your graduation fellow runner.

This guide to post C25K running may be helpful healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

Keep running, keep smiling.

(I think that wishing we had discovered this amazing little programme many years ago, is common to many runners)
