So this week is my nemesis- in the last 2 years I have twice got to this stage and twice failed ... I was nervous going out as I was on my own - my daughter who has been my support when things have been tough wasn’t with able to be with me, but nevertheless I strapped both dogs around my waist and went out there to face my Demons... I paced myself - not winning any medals for speed but I did it - I finally completed it - it wasn’t pretty but I did it!
I want to say a huge thank you to you guys - I often read the posts, advice and support being given - this has helped greatly in getting me to this point, achieving success where I have failed in the past and hopefully helping to get me to the end.

Well... you may have struggled, but you didn’t fail... there you were trying again and this time you did it.., that says winner to me. You can finish this plan now... keep going, we’re waiting to cheer your graduation run.
I think this transition into longer continuous runs with no variation can be pretty difficult. I had some serious gremlins round the end of week 6 and week 7. Week 8 has been much better though. Hope you feel encouraged to keep going by getting through this run. Good luck for the rest of the week!
Thank you - every time I go out and complete a run it feels great to have done it...stages On my route I found ridiculously hard at the beginning I noticed I don’t even realise I have done them!
Awesome- hopefully my success has given you a boost - good luck I am sure you can do it. Let me know how you get on with your runs - happy to be a virtual running partner if it helps 😄
Love the description ‘not pretty’! I finish each run looking like a giant sweaty beetroot. Doesn’t seem to be getting much better but maybe one day I will manage thirty minutes without feeling like I am about to die. And really well done! x
Hah indeedy ...I know what you mean, I guess the way to do it is keep at it and push yourself to improve.
I noticed yesterday parts of my first runs are now relatively easy so the improvement is there even though it doesn’t feel and look like it - well done for getting this far
Fantastic effort, well done you. I dread going out, however I have just discovered listening to music while I run (eye of the tiger, back 2 black ….. you get the gist).
Keep it up, & smile at all the people you go past, at least you are doing something about improving life
Thankyou - I do too my daughter laughs at me as I pace the run by number of songs etc and as always a good tune/beat keeps you going...many a time someone has passed me air drumming 😂 keep it up
I have listened to music all the way to graduation, but sometimes I just can’t think about anything else apart from ‘how much longer...’. Now trying an audiobook which has helped me concentrate and distract me. Started with War and Peace which might not have been the best choice !!
