Week 7 Run 1

Yesterday, my rest day, I went out for a short cycle ride and almost before I started I felt my left ankle and knee go. It wasn't painful just a sort of weakness. As you can imagine I was concerned about how they would stand up to running this morning.

As ever I took it nice and steady and completed my run without a twinge. I didn't run quite as far as I had done on Friday but my pace was nice and steady. I seem to have used that phrase twice now, nice and steady. Well I may not be fast but I did it and I am a runner.

Wednesday should be interesting morning temps being a balmy 21 degrees compared to evening temps of 28 degrees

You are a runner! Look after your knee though. I am counting on your inspirational updates being a few days behind you :)

I will look after it. We can get through this together. Good luck.

Good work, you definitely are a runner! My Dad used to both run and cycle and always said the muscles you use are very different and you can notice them getting weak if you do a lot of one activity and not so much of the other? Perhaps it's that? At least it didn't affect your run though! Only eight runs to go and you'll have completed the programme!

Thankfully they don't appear to be any more than that.
