Good excuse to try a park run!! Believe me, my first one was last week and there's someone fatter, slower, older, faster, slimmer and yes younger than you oh and there's dogs, push chairs and people walking too. You'll fit right in...! At the end it's like you've run a race, cheering, clapping a fantastic buzz and..it's free!!! Just register before the event at parkrun.org.uk #loveparkrun πŸ‘πŸ‘

Always good. I’m marshalling again... must actually get round to running one at some point! I have my walking time to beat.

Cheers. I’ve not ran a Parkrun in months. Trying to get fit again and retraining for 5K. I’ll run walk it. Currently 10 minutes off my PB time, long way to go. πŸ˜€πŸ˜€

Go for it! Just go at your pace..I didn't believe the hype but there were all levels there. It was a very positive experience for me 😁

I’ve done a couple and you’re absolutely right! They are fantastic community events with wonderful volunteers and the only thing you have to beat is yourself. I finish well down the order and walk and run but such a sense of achievement at the end. I usually do it with my daughter who goes on ahead and I know that my son will be doing it at the same time down in London. I am aiming to run the whole way at Christmas with my four grown up kids . The couch 2 5k programme will get me there I hope .

I, and not the first time, was quite emotional when I hit the 200 m mark, cheered smiled and shed a tear. I still can't believe I am here at this stage!

That sounds a very special Christmas Park Run in the offing, one to really enjoy xx

Ok now I’m even more excited for Saturday to arrive. It’ll be my 4th parkrun and I’m totally addicted to it!

Just heard the founder interviewed on the radio this morning. He sounds absolutely lovely. He’s astonished how it’s taken off. I’m happy it has - for him and for us! πŸƒπŸ˜€πŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸ•
