Is anyone doing Saturday's park run in Toulouse?

Hi, I'm in France for a while, and am thinking of driving an hour and a half to do the next Toulouse park run. Just wondered if there's anyone else on this forum who's doing it.

I'm in England at the moment, but I spend summer not far from there, so please let me know how it goes if you do it xx

I'll be back in the summer too, so plan to do it then if I don't now, as long as it's not too hot. Great that you replied. I'll certainly let you know how it goes if I do it.

I'm about an hour and a half away too, in Cordes. Where are you?

Oh I love Cordes! Never tire of visiting. I'm in Caylus, near St Antonin Noble Val. I've been told that there may be gilets jaunes about on Saturday, so not sure if I'll be going to La Ramee. According to the French news they were out in force last Saturday. We will see......

OOh! Not so far from me then! I'll be back in about 3 weeks, guess you will have gone by then? Stay in touch, if you're back later in the year maybe we could meet up then.

P.S. would you like to buy a house lol?

Got a house already, thanks. I've thought about selling mine from time to time, but I love it so much here that I'm hanging on to it for the time being. Sounds like you've already made the decision. I'll be back in France in the middle of May. Will you be around then?

Yes, we're there until we sell, or until Autumn, whichever comes first!

Do get in touch!

Hi...I'm in France too...about 2 and a half hours away between Carcassone and Perpignan. Depending on when the park run is, I may be interested...I am only on week 4 at the moment but it is going well...is it a 5k?

Silly me...just realised your post says it is this Saturday...maybe next time?x

Think I just got too excited at other likeminded ladies living in France...sorry.x

I understand your excitement! I didn't really expect to get any replies to my question. I'm not sure about this Saturday now as the gilets jaunes may get in the way but I'll be back in France in mid-May, so maybe sometime from then on. The park run is 5k but by then you will be nearer the end of c24k or even finished it. Are you permanently in France or what they call a 'swallow', like me?

May sounds like a plan. At the moment I am permanently in France...for another 3 years then I have to make a big decision to return to uk and my job or stay here.

Being a swallow sounds pretty good too...the best of both worlds. Nice to chat.xx

Being a swallow is great - and being retired is too, so I can spend my time wherever I like! What a decision for you though - should you stay or should you go! You've got some time to decide by the sound of things.

Interesting run this morning from my hamlet as some neighbours told me that another neighbour's relatively 'new' dog is a biter. Not wishing to give up my running, I took a stick with me for the 5 minute warm-up walk, and left it by a tree to pick up on the way back. The dog didn't appear today, thank goodness, though a couple of days ago it was in my garden while we were gardening, and didn't want to leave!

It would be great to meet up with you, Franglaise, and with Curlygurly2 as well. Let's hope we can arrange it in May. Good luck with the old C25K. It's a great initiative, along with this excellent and supportive forum.

Yes, this forum and programme are brilliant... loving both.

It would be great to meet with you both in May... let’s try and sort that.

Oh no, poor you with the dog! I had a wolf type beast take too keen an interest in my right thigh and bottom last week (thank goodness they are a bit smaller than they were!)

Keep enjoying life and running...we are lucky with the stunning scenery xx
