Things I have learned this morning:

1) there are more inclines near my house than I realised

2) at around 15 minutes in the sound of my ragged breathing approaching from the rear frightens elderly gentlemen out for an early stroll

3) it’s really annoying when Sarah Millican sounds like she’s underwater - every other week has been clear as a bell!

Bloody did it! Found it hard though, especially the second half where it was mostly uphill and I was tired. Feeling very proud of myself for managing the full 20 minutes 😊

Hope you all have lovely weekends, I’m planning to take my running buzz into a bit of a house cleaning frenzy.

Well done! Just got back from my first run of W5. It wasn't too bad, but all the time I was aware that in a few days I'll have the 20 minutes to do. At least I can run alongside the river, so no inclines. I'm full of administration for you!

Thank you, and good luck! You’ll smash it! (And I’d be very happy for you to lend me some administration! 😂)

Just a thought: if the second half of your run is uphill, why not do it the other way round ?

Yeah I though that, but essentially any route ends up with a slight incline coming home, but the other way around would probably be less harsh, you’re right! Will try that next time!

You could always alternate ! Hope the elderly gentleman has recovered 😄

Lol! I don’t overtake anyone so don’t have the problem of scaring people (even walkers) ahead. Yesterday someone was going to cross the path in front of me and stopped to let me go by, but I was going so slowly they could have crossed and re-crossed 5 times before I got there!

Wow well done. Did the same run this morning. Had many strange looks as I trundled past people sweating, blowing and red faced. Good luck for W6. X

I may cheat on r3 by walking to the top of the downs and running down. I hate those pesky inclines so well done you on beating them x
