I had blagged the EMF 10k and my 'running' ability was hanging by a thread as was my weight control and health.
It was the opportune moment to reflect and decide my future- carry on flagging to the likely point of stopping altogether or kickstart some corrective action...
Having originally graduated c25k in April 2016 I knew I could trust the programme, so...
Got back 'on life' in June. Started by deciding a new eating lifestyle and shifted some excess then in August when the schools went back (in Scotland) I restarted the c25k podcasts with good old tried-and-tested Laura. All treadmill now. I'm a carer for my middle son and can't get 'away' from home but I can get out in the garage with a monitor so he can call as and when required. Exercise has to fit your lifestyle and you have to eliminate obstacles so this way has worked well.
Today I'll be tackling Week7 Run1- back to 25mins+ solid running!!
I have a 'real' 5k in November so I'm quite excited to think that I may be able to give my original time from 3 years ago a challenge!
Keep going everyone.
You CAN do this and you can use it as a life 'tool' to keep your physical and mental welfare in focus.

Well done you. Sometimes it takes more courage to try again than it did to do it the first time. It can only be good for your family to have a healthier you ! You’re my Wednesday hero 🏅
Hi and welcome back 😀. Well done for restarting the programme, it is not easy when you have family commitments. Laura is great - so soothing and encouraging! I have also started again (injury has curtailed my running this year 😡) and just finished week 7. All the best to you.
