Yes, but it can be your friend too when it is behind you. Maybe you were running too fast for today’s windy conditions. I ventured out and I was so very very slow today. Don’t be disheartened. Look at what you have achieved so far and give yourself a clap on the back. Happy New Year.
Great job you did with all that wind! Like Oldfloss, I think I've never had the wind behind me especially when on a bike or running You've managed that run, there's nothing to be disappointed about. I found out today that even with nordic walking sticks it was difficult to move forward at times and I think the wind was less strong than on your side of the Channel... So, well done and be confident for your next round W5!! If you can do it in those terrible conditions, you're ready for anything!
You can always go for a walk if the urge is too great ;-). Rest is important especially after a tough run and you want to be ready for W5. Have a great New Year's eve and a more enjoyable W5R1 next year!
