Seriously thinking of getting a treadmill. After having to abandon run yesterday can’t go today as we have 50mph winds🤨

I joined a gym for a couple of months to use their treadmill. You’ll soon get bored and be glad you only spent a bit of money on the gym rather than a few hundred quid on a fancy clothes horse 😂😂 it doesn’t matter if you can’t run strictly to the plan, just aim for three runs in every 7-9 days. Good luck

Thanks. I just don’t want to loose all I have gained.

I only joined for the worst of the weather months but I’m fortunate that our local council gym lets you cancel with only a months notice so you can pick it up and drop it as you need to. Weather is always a factor. I don’t mind it raining once I’m running but I won’t go out if it’s raining before I start. I know what you mean about losing form but I think it’s about two weeks before there’s any real impact. Don’t get caught in the guilt trap or you’ll really stop enjoying it. If enjoying it is the right phrase 😘

Don’t get a treadmill trust me I spent a lot of time befriending it even named it (Bob) was thinking black adder (classic) but in the end had to rehome it due to neglect 🤷🏽‍♀️X

Bob, love it. and love BA

Totally agree though. Husband bought very expensive gym standard treadmill. He barely ever used it. Mostly collected dust and used as a clothes drier! After several years of it cluttering up our sitting room we gave it away. This was long before my c25k adventures but not sure i would use it even now.

I'd see if your local gym has day passes or just join for a few months.

The weather does challenge us... I use my cross trainer only...gale force winds... iced up roads and after injury...

Mr OF uses it every day..he has a crocked knee from an old climbing injury... but he cycles also and walks:) Don't regret buying it at all...but it can never, ever replace the great outdoors... I even ran one winter, when we were snowed up for two weeks.. and ran with the doors and windows open in my Studio..to get the effect of being outside:) Bracing!!!!

The winds will abate:)
