The day after

So it's the day after my first run! My legs have felt so achey and I can see why you would not do 2 in a row! Woke up this morning and thought my legs might drop off! Is that normal!? Or am I just so unfit!?

No its normal - your using muscles you have not used for a while....the aches gradually get easier as you go on. Just get some rest today, and you will be ready to go again tomorrow. :-)

Just normally unfit.

Stretching after every run makes a big difference.

Yes follow the plan and respect your repair days.

For me post stretching/static stretching is the key.

A bath to warm your muscles before you run also helps. If you need that.

And arnica muscle soak may help you also on occasions as needed.

Enjoy this gift of running to yourself and this magic forum.

Had a similar experience but now the aches and pains are gone. I guess I am a lot fitter. Starting W5R1 tomorrow. Enjoy the rest days and have fun running! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️
