Problem with app closing during the session

Into week 2 of c25k but with my new phone the app keeps closing down during the session. Has anyone had this problem? I have tried deleting and reinstalling the app but the problem recurred. When i let the session play at home to see if my phone didn't like the motion it happened again. Any ideas? Frustrating!

Never had this happen, I assume your phone screen is locked during the session? Also where do you store the phone during your run?

Yes it is locked and in my pocket. Have checked the power settings and hope will be OK tomorrow. Otherwise I end up being. Out for 45 minutes instead of 30. Th

Have you checked your power settings? It could be the energy saver mode is shutting the app down – certainly a known issue on some Samsungs.

Same happened on my iPhone on my first go at 1:1. If it’s that, it’s easily fixed by turning the power saver off.

I had the same, drove me nuts - had to change the app settings (under Apps, C25K, Power Info, Launch - I'm on a Huawei android) from automatic to Manage Manually, and check the setting to keep app running in the background. Since then it hasn't happened.

I had that problem in week 2. I think mine was partly that it didn't like the arm holder I was using so I started to carry the phone round (not ideal). Ended up roughly timing stuff with my watch and constantly checking it hadn't shut down. Good news is that week 3 and (so far) 4 have been fine and I'm using running shorts with a built in pocket instead of the arm holder.

Make sure you open the app, then follow instructions on when to start your music ( see my post a couple of days ago)

I have no idea why it makes any difference. 🤩
