Hi, I just did my first 2 runs from week1 and found that this app just keeps freezing and crashing all the time. I have just downloaded the app on my Android phone last weekend (Jan 18th/19th), so I assume I got the latest version. For run 1 I was doing much more walking and running than I was supposed to, waiting for the voice to tell me I should change my activity, but almost every section it just stopped. I see it is not just my phone, from this forum. Has anyone heard of a solution yet, or is it just a badly written app? Shame really, the idea of the whole programme is a great one, let down it seems by a poorly written app. As a complete beginner at running, I really wanted to rely on the timnigs in the app to keep me on track, without having to buy and fiddle about with a stop watch. Guess I will just need to download and copy the mp3s to my phone and use those instead!

I am sorry that you are having problems with the C25K app, I have two Smartphones, one is only got 2GBs and does not have enough memory for this app, the newer app has 64GB and has "every app you can think of" it might be that your Smartphone has just enough memory to load the C25K app but not enough for you to run to, try deleting other apps that you don't use, it might not keep crashing if you do.
A few people have posted this. There is also c25k podcasts that you can download. People have said they had no problems with them.
Welcome to the forum and well done on getting started.
This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...
The app is flakey so please notify the developers via your download site, or they will not know.
There is a link in the guide to the podcasts, which are more reliable.
Enjoy your journey.
Hi, thanks. I have already reported this to them, but it seems alot of people have issues. It would be useful if an app needs certain settings, the developers actually included a list of settings required, instead of leaving people doing this by trial and error! I guess I will ditch the app and use the downloaded mp3s instead, (maybe trying some of the suggestions from other replies once first)
Hi Gong , It needs to have permission to run in the background , check that notifications are enabled in app settings ? It may be the issue .
Consider using flight mode as incoming texts and calls have been known to stop the app.
